Developmental or Copy Editing?

I actually get questioned about editor types a lot, so when I saw this article it grabbed my attention. It’s a good read, and I recommend it for any indie author considering hiring an editor.

The Copyeditor is the person who proofreads your manuscript for typos, grammatical mistakes and unruly sentences, but that’s really where their job finishes. Sometimes you may get some general feedback from this type of editor, but they don’t offer much in the way of advice concerning plot, dialogue, or characterization; that’s the job of the DE.

Developmental or Copy Editing. Which one is right for you?
